Where should I park?
You will find a car park behind the church building, just off Close Lane. Any cars with a blue disabled badge may park in the parking space beside the main entrance.
What should I wear?
Some of us wear suits for church, some of us wear T-shirts and shorts. God is more interested in the heart than your outward appearance – and so are we.

Where should I sit?
There are no reserved seats; sit where you are most comfortable.
Should I bring money?
Normally we do not take an offering during our service. There is an offering box in the main hall where anyone who wishes may place their offering or donation.

What about children?
- During our family worship on a Sunday morning, all children are encouraged to feel a part of the service.
- Whilst the sermon is happening, the children (from ages 3-11) are invited to go out and join our Sunday School class in which we teach Bible lessons, play games, do craft, sing songs and generally have a blast!
- Our Sunday School workers are trained and DBS-cleared and we always ensure there are two adults in the class.
- You are welcome to accompany your child in Sunday School if you wish.
- There is a baby-changing facility in our disabled loo.
What will happen during service?
Whilst we want to be flexible, our Sunday morning service usually follows a pattern like this:
- Be greeted by one of our members at the door and be invited to take a seat in the main hall.
- The person leading the service will begin by praying from the front and reading any notices for the week ahead.
- Someone will read a part of the Bible from the front; this will be displayed on screen.
- We will have a time of singing (praise) with words projected on the screen. We are usually led by a singer, pianist and guitarist. We stand to sing, but you don’t have to stand or sing if you’re unsure.
- There is sometimes a talk or short lesson for the kids before they go to Sunday School.
- One of our Pastor/Elders or a guest preacher will teach from the Bible (a sermon). They will usually take around 30 minutes to explain what the verses mean and what relevance they have for life today.
- At the time of the sermon, children are welcome to join our Sunday School team in another room.
- We take time to pray about what we have heard and for others’ needs. People around you may pray out-loud, but there is no obligation to do this. We usually remain seated when we pray; you will not be asked to kneel.
- On the first Sunday of each month we also share Communion (taking bread and wine as a metaphor for what Jesus did for us). You do not have to be baptised or a church member to eat the bread or drink the wine- we just ask that you are a committed follower of Jesus who has put their trust in what He did for us on the cross to make us right with God.
- The service may end with another song and a blessing from the front.
- Afterwards tea and coffee are served from the hatch and people use the time to talk or pray privately with each other.

How long do services last?
- Our Sunday morning service typically runs from 10.30 – 12.00 noon.
- Services are generally followed by a cuppa and a biscuit.
What about the disabled?
- The church is all on the ground floor and has full disabled access.
- If you are coming from the car park you can either park on the disabled parking bay next to the entrance or go via the ramp or rail supported steps from the car park.
- For the visually impaired, large print materials (such as song lyrics or Bible texts) can be easily obtained upon request.
- The church also has a loop system in the main hall for the hearing impaired.
- We have a well-equipped disabled toilet with lower height baby changing facilities to ensure ease-of-access for disabled carers looking after their babies.

What if I arrive late?
We know that lateness can’t always be avoided- especially if you’re new to the area. Simply come in and take a seat. One of the welcome team will be available to welcome you and give you one of the church Bibles if you’d like one.
